Diamond in the Rough

This is a picture one of my coworkers took of me on Friday night— my last weekend at the sushi/hiabchi restaurant. I was managing that night.

The sign I am holding is one that I got at the Sugarbowl; they had one in a bag at every seat at the game. I brought it to work afterward, and I have used it as a way to bring morale up on crazy nights by flashing it at my employees and making them laugh. When things go crazy I flash the “THAT’S MAYHEM” side, and when things are calmed down I flash the Mayhem Man face side.

The employees really liked it; they would start asking where my sign was, or flash the face side through the windows into the kitchen to scare each other. I left the sign for them when I quit, since it worked so well to keep the mood up and keep people going. It was probably the best thing I ever did as a manager— minus putting bandages on everyone’s booboos. LOL.
